Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy Appoints  Tim Montgomery as New Director, Bringing Extensive Experience to the Role

Little Rock, ArkansasThe Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy (ASBPA) is proud to announce the hiring Tim Montgomery as its new director, replacing the outgoing Jimmy Corley.

            Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of accounting and public policy. As an investigator for the ASBPA, he has been a key player in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and has worked tirelessly to protect the interests of both the profession and the public.  

            In his new role as director of the ASBPA, Mr. Montgomery will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the board’s operations. This includes ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing the board’s budget, and developing and implementing policies that promote the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior among the state’s accounting professionals.

  The ASBPA is confident that Montgomery’s extensive experience, coupled with his deep commitment to the profession and the public, will make him an excellent leader for the board.             Montgomery joined the ASBPA as an investigator in 2013. He is a graduate of the University of Houston – Downtown where he earned a BBA in Accounting in 1992 and passed the CPA exam in 1993. During his career, Montgomery has served as the Internal Auditor for USABLE Life in Little Rock, Accounting Manager for Airborne Nacelle Services in Hot Springs, Comptroller for a supply company in Pencil Bluff, an Internal Audit and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Compliance Consultant, and the Internal Audit Director for Dyersburg State Community College in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He lives in Cabot, Arkansas with his wife Charlotte. They have four children, three daughters-in-law, and two grandsons.
