The Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board receives and investigates complaints against registered trainees, and licensed or certified appraisers accused of violating laws, rules or standards of practice. If the Board finds that an appraiser has violated the Appraisal Act or the governing standards, it can only suspend or revoke licenses, or invoke penalties. The Board cannot order an appraiser to refund appraisal fees, pay damages, or complete a new/revised appraisal. Monetary relief is not available from this board.
The Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board receives and investigates complaints against Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs) operating in the State of Arkansas. If the Board finds that an AMC has violated the AMC Act or the governing standards, the Board may take disciplinary action consistent with the disciplinary authority provided in the Arkansas AMC statutes and the adopted regulations.
