Happy New Year! It is truly a privilege and an honor to serve as the 2023-2024 President of the Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors. I guess you can say it runs in our families’ blood to serve. My father, Billy M. Cline, served the board as the Executive Director before his retirement.
The board remains committed to maintaining the integrity and commitment of the licensing process. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful staff led by Heather Richardson. The office continues to provide the best of the best service to our state. Thank you for all you do!
Last August, Heather represented the board at the AR Legislative Council – Occupational Licensing Review Subcommittee otherwise known as the sunset committee (that’s a mouthful) to review and answer questions about our processes. Lori Tudor and I attended as well and let me just say how proud we were in Heathers’ preparations and explanations. Thank you for an outstanding job!
In April, some of the board members will be attending NCEES Southern Zone meetings in Ashville, NC. In addition, Arkansas will be hosting the NCEES Southern Zone Meeting in April 2025 in Little Rock. This is an exciting time to show off our great state. I am confident we will wow them with our charm.
The staff and board have been planning for a very busy 2024. Please feel free to contact anyone on the board or staff if you have any questions or comments. We are committed to serving everyone.
