Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing Celebrates Record Transactions and Fiscal Growth

11/22/2023

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing (ADLL) is proud to announce that from January 1st, 2023, to the end of October, it has achieved a significant milestone in the department’s ongoing efforts to streamline processes and enhance user experience.

The current licensing platform accommodates transactions for 10 entities: Abstracters, Home Inspectors, Electrical, Auctioneers, Motor Vehicle, Geology, Athletic Commission, Barbers, Collection Agencies, and Architects. The user-friendly system has not only facilitated a smooth licensing process for professionals but has also contributed to the state’s financial growth.

Looking ahead, the ADLL has an ambitious roadmap for the coming calendar year. The plan includes incorporating five additional entities onto the licensing platform, further expanding the reach and impact of the streamlined system. This strategic move aligns with the department’s mission to continually improve services and meet the evolving needs of Arkansas professionals.

One notable success story within the department is the Electrical Board of Examiners, which has witnessed a remarkable 45% increase in available funds on a per-year comparison. This financial growth is attributed to the substantial savings achieved by reducing mail costs and processing time for receipts. The shift towards a more efficient digital system not only benefits the Electrical Board of Examiners but sets a precedent for other entities to follow suit.

“This remarkable progress is a testament to our dedication to modernizing processes and providing efficient services to the professionals and entities we serve,” said John Mark Huckabee, Communications Director for ADLL. “We are thrilled to see the positive impact of our efforts reflected in the increased transactions and fiscal growth, and we remain committed to further advancements in the coming year.”

ADLL encourages professionals, entities, and the public to stay updated on the latest developments and announcements through its official website and communication channels.
