Arkansas State Athletic Commission Launches FiteTrakr

10/12/2022

Little Rock, AR — The Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing – Arkansas State Athletic Commission (ASAC) launches FiteTrakr, an electronic scoring system for combative sporting events in Arkansas.

Arkansas is one of the first states to use electronic scoring in combative sports such as MMA and Boxing. FiteTrakr is a brand new, web-based interface system that keeps a database of fighters, judges, announcers, and referees for Arkansas combative sporting events. It is designed to maintain the needed functionality in setting up Arkansas events and keeping them organized and on track.

“The interface has a quick filter to see if a person already exists in the database and if it doesn’t find them, the ability to add them can be done at the press of a button,” said John Webb, ASAC Chief Inspector. “Like the people module, events can be added quickly, making editing very simple. It also gives the chief inspector the ability to change scores and override decisions should the need arise,” Webb added.

Ralph Hudson, Director of the Division of Labor said, “Combative sports events should be scored accurately. The old system was antiquated and simply did not meet the needs of the combative sports community. We didn’t wait for the old software to fail before updating it.”

FiteTrakr was developed by Steve Manatt and McMan State Solutions, providing innovative and practical solutions to government and private-sector clients. They use a combined 50+ years of software development and consulting experience to ensure quality that drives customer success. It took six weeks to build FiteTrakr, working 15 hours per day, seven days per week.

The Arkansas State Athletic Commission is committed to maintaining the health, safety, and welfare of the participants and the public involved in the regulation of combative sports.
