SHARP - Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program

The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program is designed to provide incentives and support to employers to develop, implement and continuously improve effective safety and health programs at their worksite. SHARP provides recognition for employers who demonstrate exemplary achievements in workplace safety and health. These companies are exempted from a general scheduled Federal OSHA inspection for one to two years.

We have two videos (5-minutes and 12-minutes) pertaining to the SHARP Program in Arkansas. They explain the benefits of participating in the SHARP Program with narratives and interviews with employers, OSHA consultants, and SHARP program managers. The 12-minute video also tells about the SHARP deferral program, for companies who have not yet reached SHARP status. Both of these videos can be borrowed free of charge from our Media Library.

If you would like to participate in the SHARP program, please call or office at 501-682-4523 to ask questions or set up an appointment.
